Matriarch

A matriarch is a woman who is the head of a family or tribe. In many traditional cultures, the matriarch is often a grandmother or great-grandmother whose wisdom is highly valued. In a broader sense, a matriarch can also refer to a woman who is considered a leader or founder in a particular field or community.
