Thursday – (Thor) or Dies Iovis (Latin for “day of Jupiter”)

"Thursday" is the day of the week between Wednesday and Friday. The name "Thursday" comes from the Old English "Þūnresdæg," which means "Thor's day." Thor is a god in Norse mythology who is associated with thunder, lightning, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of mankind, and also hallowing and fertility. The day was named in his honor, similar to how other days of the week are named after gods and goddesses in various mythologies.
